When are people going to trust agencies like the NSA and the CIA more?
I keep seeing stuff about people being worried about Terrorism and Muslim take over. Don't you think the NSA and the CIA know what they're doing? Or, are they really that bad that they can't protect us?

Like that time they saved us from the Twin Towers being attacked with air planes? Or anthrax?
I don't actually think they know what they're doing, or rather...I don't think they're interested in 'protecting USA civilians from terrorism.'
But I'm not worried at all about any kind of 'Muslim takeover'. That's just bait for the bigots. The corporations already took over.
In my opinion, we should trust the CIA. I acknowledge that history demonstrates that they're not 100% trustworthy (I think that the CIA planting drugs from Columbia/Nicaragua to Black neighborhoods to achieve higher discrimination in 1987 was despicable). However, the CIA has access to great information and is almost always successful in the prevention of terrorism and terrorist attacks. Statistics show that we should be able to trust the CIA to a large extent. I have confidence in our counterintelligence departments that we can ultimately take measures to prevent extremist takeovers in the new fragile states of the middle east.
*NSA- It was my understanding that this was just a national organization while the CIA was much more international.
