Is the queen mother of England dead yet?

I haven't been keeping up on news of the royals, was just wondering if the old girl has gone to the other palace in the sky yet.

Yes dead, and it is NOT of ENGLAND. It is The BRITISH Monarchy. "The United Kingdom of Great Briain and Northern Ireland" =UK or "Britain" for short. Is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We all count. We are ALL British, but NOT all English, thank you!

You haven't been keeping up since the beginning of the century. She passed away in 2002.

"England" doesn't have a royal family. Our country is called the United Kingdom. England is only one part of it, along with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

And the Queen Mother (who is indeed dead) was actually from a Scottish aristocratic family, not an English one.

(King James VI of Scotland inherited the English throne in 1603, creating a single monarchy covering the entire island of Great Britain - England, Scotland and Wales. We united politically a century later created a single country).
