How does this make sense?

A guy just wrote that

"a cult believes in a strange doctrine different then what a general religion teaches, such as a cult teaches jesus was a space alien where as most other religions teach jesus was god in human flesh."

Does that mean that if the majority of people believed "strange doctrine" then it would be okay?

What exactly does "strange doctrine" even mean?

Christians often accuse anyone who does not follow their exact version of Christianity of being in a cult. Evangelicals call EVERYONE a cultist. Snake handling, poison drinking, tongue speakers are very fond of accusing everyone else of cult membership. I have seen many here, call Catholicism a cult. Pretty funny considering that was all there was was for 9/10ths of Christianity's existence.

The irony of this is naturally completely lost on all of them.

Just stick with the KJV bible and turn your life over to Jesus and you will have nothing to concern yourself with about false doctrine and religions that have nothing to do with God or Christianity.
