Let me answer in a different way. Suppose somebody tells you that there is a feast going on and you will get good food from there.
1) If you believe his words just by hearing his words and runs to take the feast, you have only one sense.
2) If you hear his words, go there and getting the smell from inside and believe, you have two senses.
3) If you hear his words, ges the smell and see the feast is served there and believe, you have 3 senses.
4) If you hear his words, get the smell, see the food and experiencing the freshness of the food and believe, you have 4 senses.
5) If you hear his words, get the smell, see the food, experiencing the freshness, taste it to check whether it is delicious and then believe, you have 5 senses.
6) If you hear his words, get the smell, see the food, experiencing the freshness, tasting it delicious, and thinking whether the food is good for your health and then believe and take what ever you need, you have 6 senses.
Moral: Apply all the 6 senses before believing/accepting a religion or God.

Be Good, always.
...Common-sense...
It's a rare commodity...
*The 5 physical senses:
Seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, and touching. Believe it or not, all five of the physical senses will allow a human being to feel.
All 5 of the physical senses may interact within the framework of human consciousness.
*The seven states of human consciousness:
1. Unarvu - feeling
2. Unarchi - awareness
3. Puthi - Intellect
4. Madhi - Judgment
5. Arivu - Subtle Wisdom
6. Pahuth Arivu - Divine Wisdom
7. Perr Arivu - Divine Luminous Wisdom
All human beings may possibly have access to the, five physical senses.
All human beings do have access to the, "Seven States of Consciousness".
A human being must strive diligently to access all "Seven States of Consciousness", for this is the true birth-right bestowed upon each and every human being.
Hopefully that makes some 'sense'...
Peace be always with you.

Sleep is a lapse of memory but life goes on.
In death, it is a change in living process of the body
which has senses
Integration of senses ends and disintegration starts
Senses disappears at death
Spiritually advanced person has all senses
and he is like an ordinary human but
he has restricted his senses
He is almost a dead man but conscious
