Amp wattage to run 4 200w speakers?

I'm putting 4 200w alpine marine grade speakers in a cooler to float down the river. I will be having music from a MP3 player so i don't want a radio receiver in there. The power source will come from a battery that i dont know of the amperage amount yet but I'm open for ideas. What amp size should I use?? And 2 channel or 4 channel? I lve heard 2 channel sounds better but requires more power then 4ch.. And the float time is around 9 hrs long. Thank you for your time

It will be difficult to maintain a constant 12V that your amp is going to need to power. most marine batteries will only hold their charge for around 3 to 4 hours anyway and your amp will go into protection mode if that current stays below 12V for too long. If you can find a way to keep the battery charged up, go with an 200W X 4 channel amp and a 12 V Marine battery.
