There's no real difference. Taken to extremes, both will make you seem very tiresome, immature, and will grate on other people's nerves.
However, Potter won't break your heart, get you pregnant or leave you with an STD, so watch yourself, girl! :)

Having a huge crush on a guy. Your basically in a dielema that your worried a guy you like may think your a weirdo by being obsessed by harry potter. But If you have the guts to talk with him about it and he really likes you then he won't mind. If he rejects you it shows how someone can have such a shallow mind and you were better off without them!

Being obsessed with Harry Potter won't do you any harm except for frightening off most potential crushes.
Just remember that he is a fictional character, and that you need to stay in touch with reality- the same applies to crushes and relationships.
