Should Yahoo Answers have a worst answer category?

They do have a worst answer category.

It's called Yahoo! Answers.

That sounds like a pretty good idea...the worst answer could lose 10 points and of course the best receive 10

No...this is not the kind of thing Yahoo Answers promotes. Although this would be extremely funny and I've seen countless answers that more than deserve to be considered a "Worst Answer", it would never happen.

On one side, you have people saying "This would be hilarious! I can't tell you how many answers I've seen that deserve worst answer. Like when blah blah blah..." you get my point. Then you have the people that are not only losing ten points that they worked hard to earn, but they're also being highly criticized and even cyber-bullied.

Yahoo Answers also writes: What We Like on Answers...2. Being courteous 3. Being a good citizen...I don't think this promotes either. Anyway, good idea but not realistic in the bigger spectrum. ~Deni$e

Yeah i think they should have at least one of those lol. Also, i hate it when people who give the worst answers are top contributors. Like people who tell you to go to google in every answer. DRLgirl or whatever from the education section is like that...EVERY answershe gives says for the person to go to google.

YES! OMG! SO MANY YESES! Why don't they? I mean, people will just go around, collecting points for advertising, being mean, or just being stupid. If you win worst answer, you loose ten points! HAHA! They should have that so people THINK next time they are going to answer!

There are enough idiotic answers already on this site. Sometimes it is hard to find the good answers among the garbage. Why add to the garbage by rewarding it (even a negative reward is a reward)?

I think so, because when people go around answering 50 questions by saying: "hello user! go here because I get paid to advertise this site and am a foot-licking troll" need to get shot
