Are we really free? Is communism so different?

It's pretty common to hear about Communism being a **** because "people was forced to work" and that we have like "A lots of freedoms" here. Do we? Aren't we forced to work? Wouldn't we die if we didn't?
Also that's not communism my people. That's a dictatorial governement. Communism has nothing to do with exploitation. In fact, it fights it. It is capitalism the one that allowes the explotaition of the man by the man

Communism isn't the same as Marxism or what ever they did in Stalinist Russia, or Castro's Cuba. Our current out of control capitalism is a lot worse than even the Russian or Cuban version right now. It's more oppressive than even a dictatorship or fiefdom.

We have 400 or so people that are holding 1/2 of the nation's wealth. they aren't spending it or using it, they are just holding it! They seem to covet the 1/2 they don't have too!! They control the media, and the politicians. Under communism they had to at least give a few bucks back now and then. We can't find a job that will allow us to live in a safe environment, have reliable transportation, buy health care, and educate our kids. They are gone! If we had some healthy socialism, we could at least educate our kids and get health care.

Rupert Murdoch and his peers, tell us through Fox news, Cnn, and their puppets, Palin and Beck that communism and socialism are bad. Do any of you actually stop to think? Or actually try to learn what these words actually mean? The country's broke. We gotta fix it! If we help each other we might be able to do that. That's what communism is about. We need to tax the rich and powerful fairly, and put the country back on sound financial footing. That's called socialism.

If we educate our kids they might learn the meaning of words and quit listening to the propaganda arms of the rich 1%,

nobody likes communism but people who were lucky enough to grow up in a capitalist society. like any other governing style, those at the top dont live the way they preach the bottom to.

no, we arent forced to work, no, we wouldnt die. you must not have an idea of how many lazy people milk the system and all the handouts available to them. of how many people think they are "slaving" away in a air conditoned office with six breaks a day and benefits while people across the world are truly forced to work.

yes, we have lots of freedoms here. which is why soooo many countries idolize us, especially commie countries of present and the past. they risked their lives and gave up decades of life in their homeland for a shot at the american dream. how many americans threw it all away to be called comrade and work six days a week?

When you meet cubans who grew up in an age where they watched their country fall into Communism and they tell you that our country isn't too far from falling into the same rut as theirs, then that should speak volumes in and of itself.
