Can I replace the stock back subwoofers of my car?

I'm trying to replace the back subwoofers of my 2001 ford Taurus and I already bought some Pioneer subwoofers and they are 400 watts, then I took out one of my stock speakers and they are 25 watts . The new speakers that I bought are about an inch bigger so I'm gonna have to bolt them down. Can the new speakers with higher watts damage my cars factory amp or the factory stereo?

No the new speakers are rated at a much higher rating because they can handle more power, they can only get as much power as your stereo puts out. Thing is because you will be getting such minimal power from the stereo it is likely your will also have minimal sound output, you best bet is to amplify them.
