Well, there are definitely goths interested in steampunk, so there could be overlap in that sense. Maybe having to do with how some goths are interested in Victorian stuff. Other than that though, I'd say steampunk is becoming a subculture in its own right. Not that I'm a big fan of steampunk (I like keeping my Victorian and futuristic interests separate myself), so my answer probably isn't as good as somebody who is into it.

for this reason, i will pass with Goth in this one however i admire a superb type of steampunk. the type is extremely imaginitive and delightful and that i like the entire Victorian/Vauldeville aesthetic that lingers around Steampunk. :)
