How has Fox News covered the NewsCorp scandal in the UK?

I don't watch Fox News and I'm just curious to hear from those who do about what they have been saying about it and how much they have discussed it. Thanks.

@Obama's Wright, I'm not arguing that corporate owned CNN doesn't have similar problems, though they haven't been owned by Ted Turner for years. They are a Time Warner company. MSNBC is owned by GE, and I am curious as to whether or not that had any impact on how often they talked about GE paying less than zero tax as opposed to Exxon Mobile. Corporate owned media is a large problem in general, but my question was more specific about the current scandal dealing with a channel that I don't watch.

So far, at least, no Fox News watchers have given anything resembling a real answer. Thank you to tonalc2 for the info, though I'm really more curious about the impression that Fox News viewers have gotten rather than just the raw numbers. The raw numbers are interesting, but as you noted, those numbers have been reported in other locations. Thanks though, so far, you've got best answer.

They've discussed it at great length. It's not a NewsCorp scandal by the way. It's a News of the World scandal.

Every news show throughout the day on Fox has brought up this news story. Just because they haven't discussed it a hundred times (according to the Atlantic Wire) doesn't mean they aren't giving it any air time. There are more pressing issues in this country besides what News of the World (a tabloid i might add) did in the UK.

Is it egregious what SOME in the NewsCorp family did? Absolutely. But we shouldn't demonize the entire conglomerate. Though i agree with you that corporate owned media is a problem.

The debate over how often Murdoch-owned news sources report on the story has been a news story itself since the scandal started spilling over earlier this month. Sites are tracking how often the story is brought up by the top news channel. The latest numbers have each top news channel devoting a varied number of segments to the subject. Fox News is at 31, CNN at 109, and MSNBC at 71, according to the Atlantic Wire.

I'm sure that Fox reports the facts the same way it does things whenever it encounters a fact, and a lot more. And there's no chance that the scandal will affect Fox. The Fox governing principals didn't originate with Murdoch, they're more Nixonian in scope so no worry there. After all, nobody at Fox ever tried to bribe the FBI or hack into a 9/11 cell phone, did they?

Did they?

Sorry, like you, I don't watch FOX News (nor MSNBC).
I don't trust their coverage of most stories and especially this story.

It's Obama's fault.
