Cheap and/or free things to do in Orlando?

I actually live in Tampa and my best friend from Massachusetts (where i grew up) is coming to visit me. I have lived in Tampa now for a little over 3 years. However, I am looking for suggestions of places to bring her that doesn't cost a lot of money that I might be overlooking. I am currently laid off - so any theme parks are out of the question. I've done Ripley's and Wonderworks. They are good there - but I would prefer to take her someplace where I haven't been as well!

So far I have thought of Downtown Disney, Gatorland and either Fort De Soto or Clearwater Beach and possibly Big Cat Rescue.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I want to take her to Orlando for a day or two, and I'm not nearly as familiar with Orlando activities as I am with the activities out here! :)

Old town in Kissimmee, Downtown Orlando park, there is a pro women's softball team in Kissimmee that should be cheap to watch, possibly free if you go after the third inning?

Usually, Walgreens and CVS have dicount books for sale that have tons of Orlando coupons for buy one get one free. Places like Gatorland, and go kart tracks, etc. Capone's in Kissimmee usually has a buy one get on free coupon in the store fronts.

There are several flea markets in the Kissimmee area that are free to look around in.

I don't quite get it. You say you want to do things in Orlando and then you mention Fort de Soto and Clearwater. They are both in the Tampa are and not anywhere near Orlando.
