Should you make an appointment with a military recruiter at age 14?

Is it too early?Thinking about ROTC.Did you go at 14? Also, would they give me a medical waiver for MINOR seasonal allergies? thanks.

They cant talk to you until your 16, you cant join until your 17 1/2.

Seasonal allergies is no big deal, you don't need a waiver for that. Check the block and youll just create extra paperwork for yourself.

Are you talking about JROTC. They have a Junior ROTC program for kids in High School. Not at all schools.

If that is what you mean, then you can do JROTC. You should wait until you are a junior or senior in High School before you talk with recruiters. You can not join if you are under 17. You need your parents permission at 17...but you can do what you want at 18.

14 is a tad too early.

The soonest I would recommend contacting a recruiter would be the summer before your Junior year in High School.

As a former recruiter, that would be a waste of both your time and the recruiters time. Don't bother him until you turn 17.

You're too young, you can't even join for 3 years.

Actually, you can join ROTC at 14. But you'd have to be some genius to go to college that young.
