Bench pressed on Monday, Pecs still sore, should I bench today (Wed)?

I did my upper body workout on Monday. Today (wed) my pectorals are still a little sore. Should I lift tonight or am I being counterproductive for building mass?

The pain doesn't bother me. I was thinking that the deal with building mass is you basically tear down the muscle let it heal, then tear it down again to build it up. Just wondering if maybe I should wait another day.

You answered your own question in your additional details. Do not work chest again if still sore. It's not a pain issue. You are exactly right. You DO NOT grow in the gym. You tear muscles down in the gym. You grow with proper rest and nutrition after breaking down the muscle at the gym. Wait until fully recovered. I work each bodypart only once per week....I'm 5'10" and weigh 235 with 7.5% bodyfat so I'd say I'm doing something right.
