If Nancy Pelosi had asked "W" to postpone a major speech, would there be any objections?

Has Speaker Boehner lost all sense of propriety? Imagine the Speaker of the House telling the President to wait on his long anticipated job speech.. because it's scheduled for the day that Congress returns from vacation! Politicians aside, what possibly is more important than jobs right now?

Obama does not have to postpone anything.  it was a request.

Bush would have never scheduled a speech during a democratic debate. He has much more class than that and was not a narcississtic news whore
