Which is more powerful, a nuclear bomb, or understanding how to make one?
'Fess up. What, to you, is the most important power in the universe? Is it the atom, or the human mind?

Lapiz, You didn't even explain your cryptic answer. What I have to 'fess up is that I have posted a philosophy question that some people won't answer.
Ty, I suggest you watch Atomic Cafe, the movie. There's nothing shady about making a bomb; for nations, most bombs are commodities, but nuclear weapons have only narrowly escaped that status.

Depends on your needs. This is like asking what's more powerful, a chicken that is good for nothing but producing eggs(the mind, or consciousness), or the eggs themselves (physical reactions to our human actions)? Without the chicken(mind) you got no egg(bomb).. But Knowledge(chicken) is only 'powerful' because it has the potential to create what actually IS powerful, the bomb. Confusing, I know. LOL Basically though, this question is loaded. You haven't explained fully what you mean by 'powerful', so I don't know what you mean. Powerful can have many meanings, depending on your metaphysical holdings/values. Do you mean literally powerful? As in it's ability to actually bring about change in the physical universe? Or do you mean powerful as in it's philosophical implications, that thought is the most powerful thing, because in itself, it is the driving force behind CONSCIOUS action. That without thought, there is no bomb, and that therefore it IS more powerful than the bomb? Well, IDK. I guess it's up to you. I myself like to think that one can't categorize these type of things. This is like asking "Which color is more vibrant, yellow or red?" I guess it's up to you.
- Atomic power has existed and shaped the universe for billions and billions of years, and the "human mind" (a byproduct of the ever-present power of the atom), has only been around for a few Millennium (which isn't even a heartbeat in the life of the universe). Eventually, the human mind will ultimately be obliterated by the power of the "atom", and will exist for billions of years after humans become extinct. I think I'll vote for the atom as the more powerful.
