How Do I Change The Profile Picture On YouTube?

Hello! :-)
I have tried the useless "HELP" section at the You-Tube site itself, and while the subject of "changing/uploading" a profile picture is mentioned, all of the links just seem to lead to nowhere at all, and even the location of the things to click on are incorrect. So my question is this: I go to my "Channel" and THEN what?  I thought until now that yahoo help pages were bad, but this is on a whole different level of bad. I have seen answers here that advise to upload a video and use THAT as a profile picture, but this answer is unworkable for me. I need to upload a JPEG file.

Hello.
     Whenever you log into your Youtube account, look in the upper right hand corner of the screen. You should see your account name and a "drop-down" arrow that's directly to the right of your name. Click on this arrow and then click "settings" (should be right above the "sign out" option). This takes you to your account settings page. If you look at your current profile picture that's right under the word "overview" you should see the "change" option. After clicking the "change" you now have the option to change your picture. It should bring up another window and you are pretty much set from there. You can upload a new picture, use a still video image, or use the default picture....Hope this helps

on the perfect top corner you will see "sign out" and your person call, nicely pass on your person call and you will see a itemizing of issues and click "account" as quickly as you have clicked "account" you will see approximately changing your profile photograph hop I helped : no longer outstanding approximately explaining with the aid of textual content :P haha
