There is a record of the Lightning photographing the U2 spy plane at ceiling altitude from above is this true? and is the photo available?
I think the Canberra has a ceiling of 50000 ft ( the "old" edge of space) the u2 has 110,000 ft and fly s in the stratosphere. So lightning wins, I believe it still holds the climb ground to 50000 ft record.

I am not sure if that is true, but there was a case of a successful (but non lethal) interception of a U2 by a Lightning.
The Lightning cannot sustain level flight at the same altitude as the U2, but it can zoom climb as high or even higher. Intercepting requires correctly 'leading' the target aircraft as once you are that high the aircraft is incapable of maneuvering--it basically just flies a ballistic arc. If you try to maneuver too much, the plane will stall and tumble because of the lack of stability to counter the inertia.

Not a Lightning but a Canberra Photo Recce version. Saw the photo myself many years ago whilst serving in the RAF. It was doing the rounds as a bit of a joke against the Yanks but was classified as "Secret" so did not get into the public domain. Given that the 30 year rule may soon be up it is possible that, if the photo still exists then it may be released.

The U2 is a stealth plane I highly doubt the photo has been made available.
