Had the results been different, I'd say yes but since they were non life threatening I don't see any affect on his chances. Matt is one of the most laid back, mellow drivers I can think of. I'm sure he's very thankful that it wasn't more serious. I'm sure he'll do just fine.
Matt races with his kids in lawn mower races, and has no problem spinning one of his kids to win.. But for the first time ever, he's experiencing what it feels like to watch as someone he loves puts themselves at risk driving a race car.. I don't know if it will effect his Championship run this year, but he will remember what it felt like forever, and appreciate Katie that much more...
Edit: Women do such a great job of tolerating our stupidity.. I don't know how sometimes.. lol
Nah. It wasn't a life-threatening event and I'm sure they have nannies to take care of the kids while she heals. So no extra work and stress at home :)
