I thought I saw you today as I looked into the dress shop window a face was looking back at me a slight smile was there that drew me in I longed to reach and touch you as your face was turning away but, it was then I realized you weren't there, just a hope that tricked my silly heart

I think perhaps I have once or twice this is a sweet little poem and I still see Lanny the way he was that day on the dock as the sun went down not knowing I'd never see him again day he came to say goodbye
Hi Shirley.. A cute little poem this is. No, I haven't seen a vision, but I believe the effects of such an intense sentimental situation are rather non-visible or tangible but conceived. To reach for something mentally, is for some philosophers a level that grasps a "real" world, that of the ideas. This was expressed by Plato, and the love felt through that mental process, was called "Platonic". Christianism was based on Platonic principles, that's why the C. theory was called by many Neo-Platonic. The feeling to "comprehend" of something "loving" is quite normal and most people have felt it. Thank you, G.
