Campaign finance reform laws are needed in order for our representatives to represent the people, not the corporations. It is impossible today for a candidate to be elected without corporate funding. We now have government by the money, not by the people.

First off, you would have to outlaw unions from giving anything, PAC's as well, and limit contributions to no more than $1000 per person, one contribution a year to any candidate, and cap all elections costs at a level that could only be raised by ballot initiative with 35 states passing them.
BTW, corporations are now allowed to donate to even the playing field from past union influences.
