My 9 month old slides/crawls backwards, anyone else's baby do this?

She first walked backwards in her walker, then learned how to go forwards in it. I was wondering if this was sometimes the same for crawling? She pushes herself backwards while trying to crawl. Anyone else's baby do this?

Yes this is normal. They don't always crawl. Sometimes they skip crawling and go straight to walking. Sometimes they roll to get from one place to another. Its ok. They all end up walking in the end and get into things they shouldn't. ;)

crawling isn't even listed on popular charts of toddlers' progression as a results of fact it somewhat is not a developmental point all youngsters pass via. some youngsters by no ability pass slowly. some pass directly to walking, some scoot on their bottoms or tummies, some pass slowly backwards like yours. it somewhat is not proper. the good information is that he's propelling himself, and commencing off to objective to hold directly to issues for status. do not hardship approximately it -- only take various video so which you will savor it later. in some months crawling in any direction would be a area of the previous besides, as a results of fact that he would be walking and dealing everywhere!

My daughter went backwards for a couple weeks before she went forward. She was always backing herself under the kitchen table.
