Agree or disagree: "The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference"?

I agree with that Elie Wiesel statement

I loved that speech given by Wiesel. I wrote a paper on it a couple semesters ago (to compare to the turmoil in Darfur)

Even hatred elicits a response. You fight it, you denounce it, you disarm it. Indifference elicits no response. Indifference is not a response. -haha, I still have bits and pieces memorized

Tranquility.

Not everything has an opposite or a negative, only in opinion. For example what's the opposite of talking? Not talking? That's not an opposite, that's a neutral.
And what's the opposite of a circle? Some will suggest a square, some a triangle, and some a straight line. So what's the opposite of a straight line? A zig zag, a squiggle, or anything that isn't a straight line. It's inconclusive.

The only logical opposite of love would have to be hate. indifference is the middle ground. Neutral.

Yes, I agree...one must not hate, and we never really do.

Elie Wiesel has many wonderful quotes. I agree with them all.

Hmm I don't know if either of them are actually opposites but I guess indifference does make it hard for someone to love.
