Does being a conference champion as an unwritten rule go out the window (yes I realize they went in the past but its frowned upon now)? Does this open the window for none conference champs a Stanford (needs help), LSU, Alabama or a Boise State (needs help) as well?

I just posed this question answering another one of your questions. This is the BCSs worst nightmare. Lets not forget about the ACC. Their champion should be 1 loss and those losses are to better competition than Texas Tech and Iowa State. Va Tech lost to ranked Clemson and Clemson to Georgia Tech (who has a good chance of beating Georgia next week). The Big 12 shouldnt be considered, if the SEC West cant beat Georgia the SEC should be out and that leaves a PAC 12 ACC title game. Its the system, the BCS system, embrace it!
If LSU loses to Georgia, assuming they don't lose to Miss or Arkansas and clinch the SEC West, then it will probably set up a BCS game between Oregon and Bama. It will also REALLY help Boise State, considering they would have beaten the team that beat the supposed best team in the country, and what was basically a home game for Georgia too.
