Aaron Rodgers,he has:
Completed 238 of 329 passes for 3,168 yards
Thrown 31 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions (nearly 8:1 touchdown:interception ratio)
Leads the NFL for QB's in TD's (31), completions (72.3%), and average rating (128.8)
Only 2nd in total yards (3,168)
Has played 10 games in a row with a qb rating above 100.0 (I believe this is Manning's record)
Put that against Brady, Brees, or another quarterback, he seems like the most complete candidate for the best qb so far.

Without a single doubt in my mind, it has to be Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers. He has the best passer rating in the NFL, which is 20 points higher than the 2nd best. He also has the highest completion percentage, despite throwing the 17th most passes. He is averaging nearly a first down per passing attempt. Rodgers has also thrown for the most touchdown passes and least interceptions among all starting quarterbacks this year, as well as the 2nd most yards.

Carson Palmer of the Oakland Raiders. He went from throwing 3 ints his frist game only weeks away from being retired to winning 2 straight and playing at the same elite level he played with at Cincy. He went from a 17.3 passer rating in KC to 79.7 at Denver, 125 San Deigo and 107.9 at the Vikings. That is downright impressive when you consider that he has had to step up and connect with players he doesn't know nor do they know him.
