The vast majority of the death metal I listen to is Melodeth, and I'm wanting to get into some heavier stuff. I know all the major classics of the genre, now I'm looking for bands like Bloodbath and Nervecell. New bands (from around 2000 until now) that play old school death metal. I prefer bands with higher quality production.
Please (if not too much trouble) include youtube links

putrified beauty is an all female death metal band that fits the criteria you listed
Acephalix from San Francisco slays. Their first LP Aporia is from 2010 and is really metallic crust punk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1p2gU24f2M&feature=related
Their second full length was released this year and is called Interminable Night and drops most of the punk influence, reveling in old school deathy goodness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1p2gU24f2M&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uLwyUiU0ZY Saw them live several months ago and they put on a great live show.
............ I am drawing a blank ...... except .....
Peshmerga - These guys are still babies , made in 2009. They are classified as Brutal Death Metal but I don't know - They are pretty old school though.
