Simple Algebra problem help?

I know it's easy for the majority, but I just don't understand how!
You have one dollar bills and five dollar bills totaling 45 dollars. You have 4 times as many one dollar bills as you do five dollar bills. How many of each type of bill do you have?
Thanks

5-5 dollar bills and 20-1 dollar bills. So 5x5=25 5x4=20 =45

let x = number of one dollar bills
let y = number of 5 dollar bills

x = 4y

1x + 5y = 45
4y + 5y = 45
9y = 45
y = 5
x = 20

you have 20 one dollar bills and 5 five dollar bills

x is ones and y is fives
1x + 5y = 45
4y + 5y = 45
9y = 45
y = 5
x = 20
