Is anyone else addicted to the Horse section of yahoo answers?
I am taking classes online, but I end up spending more time on the horse section of Yahoo! I think I'm addicted.
Is anyone else addicted to yahoo answers? Do you think that you get quality answers from knowledgeable people? How do you keep yourself from spending half the day on this website?

Where do you live that it's 1am right now?
When I say "half the day" it's more of a hyperbolic statement.

@starlight: That's great what you did to get an additional forum! Though horses are classified as livestock for utility purposes, many would argue that there are horses out there that are actually pets. What about miniature horses that are not ridden/driven, the retirement horse, or a perfectly healthy horse that is not ridden or bred for profit? My neighbor has a really nice looking horse that they don't ride, breed, or do anything with. He is pretty much a pet.

Wow I thought it was just me! I have a case analysis papers due tommorow morning for my business strategy/policies class and yet here I am. Since I don't have friends that are into horses, this is the only place I know to ask questions.
Hey Starlight, I keep my horses for pets, not for riding use. There are some of us out there.
Addicted? No. But when I am bored, I tend to come here, for lack of better things to do. It was a huge problem while I was in college, in online classes, much like you.
It sometimes becomes a problem near 2 in the afternoon at work, when things get to be boring.
But on the weekends, or nights, when I am doing something that I love--I rarely come to Y!A. There's a few people here that I would consider knowledgeable, but there's just as many nutters. I would rather email the people I trust rather than getting the possibility of a bad answer from a nutter.
Well, I sure get a lot of laughs! Sometimes, people will actually answer a question with a decent answer, but not often. In fact, I think the Horse section might be one of the rudest sections when it comes to help. Well, what I mean is that it seems every time a person asks a training question, people immediately think they are completely not ready to train a horse and need to hire a trainer. Half of the time, that is not the case.
I think I am more addicted to Howrse, though! But I probably spend as much time with my real horses as on here.
Hmm..not really, it's when I actually get on this site I can't get off..but once I'm off I'll stay off for a bit. Doesn't help when there's internet on phones now lol.
It is 9:45am Wednesday, here.
I don't ask questions so not too sure about the quality but sometimes some of the answers are ridiculous so not everything on the internet is "quality."
Keeping away..well, I work off the computer so it can be hard haha but I usually just browse the questions and don't try and answer everything I see. It helps..a bit.
Yes, it can be addictive at times- but there are also times when I get tired of it. It just depends on what's being asked and who's doing the asking. Answer quality varies considerably. There are obvious trolls, and then there are the regulars that I actually find interesting. As for keeping myself from spending half the day, I just make a point of limiting my time to one or two hours a day.
