Why do people want Alabama to be in the BCS Championship game?

Alabama facts:
-Only has beat 3 teams with winning records. 
-Lost at home to the team they are projected to play in the final in OT.

Oklahoma State facts:
-Lost to Iowa State in OT (I know that is horribly but the next fact makes up for it, if we are talking body of work)
-Has more wins against the top 25 (four) than Alabama does against teams with winning records. A win this weekend against Oklahoma would make it 5.
-A win this weekend and they will have 7 wins against winning teams

Stanford facts:
-Got pounded by Oregon
-Barely got by USC in OT but that win looks better by the day.
-Has beat 5 teams with winning records

Boise State facts:
-Shockingly high SOS index rating (people are reading the names of the teams they are playing and not actually seeing how well those teams are doing)
- Has beat 7 teams who are currently having winning seasons
- Lone loss was to a ranked team at home on a missed field goal with their starting all conference 1000 yard rushing running back out, the all american defensive lineman who is captain of the defense out and the 6th string cornerback starting 

Virginia Tech:
- Horrible schedule but a win this weekend and they avenge their only loss
- Unfortunately a win this weekend and they will knock the only team currently in the top 25 on their schedule out of the top 25

What are you talking about? 90% of Yahoo Answers DOESN'T want Alabama to play for the title in a re-match against LSU. Stick around for an hour and see how many people complain about it.

Not sure why you even have Stanford, Boise, and Va Tech in this argument. Ok St is the only team that has any beef. And, the big thing is just the comparison in terms of losses. The Cowboys lost to a team they were favored to beat by 27. The Tide lost to the unanimous number one team! There is no comparison there and that basically blows everything else away.

Further, if you actually look at the scores and how close the rest of the games were, it's clear Alabama is the better team:

Alabama won @Penn State by 16, vs. Arkansas by 24, @Florida by 28, and @Auburn by 28.

Oklahoma State, on the other hand, beat A & M by just a single point and K State by 7.

Big picture, Bama's closest game, other than the lose, of course, was decided by 16 points! The Cowboys have had three very close games.

Alabama fact:
- Better football team than Oklahoma State, Stanford, Va Tech, and that POS JuCo Boise State.

BCS fact:
#1 will play #2.  Period.

Reality fact:
If you want to play in the BCS Championship Game don't lose to a garbage team like Iowa State (OK State), schedule well enough so that the 2nd best team on your schedule isn't Arkansas State (Va Tech), field a defense and recruit some receivers to go with your supposedly great QB (Stanford), and don't play football on a blue field (BSU).
