Not too bad.

That being said, I think it's a waste of your potential to limit yourself to using a "role-playing game construction kit" like RPG Maker. If you truly were passionate about making your own unique 2D RPG, you would learn a programming language like C or C++ and use DirectX, SDL, Allegro, or OpenGL graphics libraries. Have you heard of Cave Story? If not, you need to download that brilliant free little game and try it out.
