Dependency induces bitterness, anger, indignation and entitlement.
When people are expected to provide for themselves and their families they are happier, content, and prideful

Welfare is not that easy to get. Usually one has to be disabled or have small children. If it were easy, then they homeless would not be fighting for shelter space.
