Why was my period only a day long?

My period usually comes every 35 days For the last 3 months my period has been a day long such as this month it came on friday left two small dime size dots in my pad then sat it was a little more there was always something on the tp when i wiped but my pad only had another 2 dime size dots on it then on sunday i didnt even have to wear a pad. Is there an explination for this, also in the last3 months ive gained about 15 pounds but ive taken preg tests not for a few days now not since after this period but they all say neg

It's called spotting I think (the weirdly short light periods). You seem to be having pregnancy symptoms, yet the pregnancy test are negative? I am as confused as you. Pregnancy tests can be wrong for several reasons. I suggest you go see a doctor whether you are pregnant or not. Ignore the first answer - he is just trying to make you paranoid. But I do think SOMETHING must be up. Check with a doctor. It might not be serious, but you clearly need a little advice over the cause.

Go to a doctor. This sounds like there is something wrong inside you. And I am not trying to be mean or anything, but this is actually a very serious matter. You need to talk to a doctor about this.
