How to sell an ipod Nano?

I won a brand new silver ipod Nano in a work raffle, but I already have an mp3 player so I'm looking to get rid of it. I went to GameStop since they had an ad that says I could trade it in for games. But when I got there, the clerk told me he couldn't take it because it was unopened and I may have stolen it!! Wtf? 

Do you think I could get anything for it on Ebay? It just looks like there are so many (real and fake) ones being sold on there, that I'm not sure if I could get much for it....Should I just take it out of the packaging and try to sell it at a different Gamestop?

Try ebay or craigslist....if it's unopened you should get full price for it

ok try to go to a store like future shop and tell them that, "are u guys taking old nanos or electronics" they Maybe will give u money for ur nano. 
or jus sell it to ur friends for cheap price
