Does anyone know where the PBS TV show "Doc Martin" is supposed to be in England? What coastline?

I've been watching Doc Martin, an old English TV series, that was filmed many years ago but is showing now and I've never seen the early shows so I have no idea where it's supposed to be. Anyone know? Is it Cornwall by any chance? Thanks to anyone who answers. I'm sure the UK fans know --are there any out there?

Forgot to add that it's shown only on PBS stations here. We're lucky in the NY / NJ metropolitan area because we have 3 stations so they show a series like "Dowton Abbey", MI 5, Masterpiece Theater 3 different times. Surprised to hear it's being filmed again. Anyway, the scenery is absolutely spectacular. We went to Cornwall around 1987 but I don't remember all of it except for the extremely narrow & tiny streets & buildings; but I do remember the afternoon teas and creamed pastries very well.

To Grey Pic do you watch PBS at all? Yesterday, at a Genealogy meeting they announced Henry Gates, PHD has a big series showing this Spring on Genealogy on PBS.

Cornwall, South-West. Some people from Cornwall reject being called English and prefer Cornish. There is a strong Cornish Independence movment.
