Your Hadith and the other poster Hadith's show why Islam is so divided. Moderate verses to Extreme fundamentalist verses.

For one your Hadith is very pleasant and I would hope Muslims read and follow that Hadith. There are other Hadiths that are questionable. Mohammad is considered a prophet inside Islam so many would follow a prophets ways as Christans would follow by Jesus example and Buddhist of Buddha etc..

Some of the battles or taking slaves is what inspired the Fundamentalist inside Islam, if only they saw your Hadith. I understand most Muslims don't see this but as a Westerner when we read the Hadith is is a bit shocking some of the thing Mohammed did. The Bible also has some harsh verses, although Jesus was not setting this type of more violent example nor was Moses, as we see with Mohammad.

We can only hope the moderates inside Islam can find many verses inside the religion as you did to counter the more aggressive verses that inspire the fundamentalist. To guide them to finally find peace within their hearts, and not use Islam as an excuse for murder and destruction.

I commend you on pointing out that verse, I pray many Muslims read that verse and it inspires their soul!

God Bless, and I must share the only way to peace and the father is through Jesus Christ our savior! Seek him and you will truly have peace and love!

"Now the firstborn said to the younger, 'Our father is old, AND THERE IS NO MAN ON THE EARTH to come in to us as is the custom of all the earth. Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.' So they made their father drink wine that night. And the firstborn went in and lay with her father, AND HE DID NOT KNOW WHEN SHE LAY DOWN OR WHEN SHE AROSE.

"It happened on the next day that the firstborn said to the younger, 'Indeed I lay with my father last night; let us make him drink wine tonight also, and you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.' Then they made their father drink wine that night also. And the younger arose and lay with him, AND HE DID NOT KNOW WHEN SHE LAY DOWN OR WHEN SHE AROSE.

This is so beautiful masha'Allah. It sounds like as Muslims, we should only try to hurt people with kindness until there's no more hatred.
