Dark brotherhood gives you some good light armor with stealth bonuses and a sidequest for them will get you an 'ancient' better set. You also get some good sneaky weapons. If you do the thieves' guild quests as well, you'll end up with a really good bow and 2 melee weapons and a nice set of armor. If you see some weird dude with a mythic dawn museum, you'll get a dagger that has a chance to 1 shot things.
