I want to know how I go about answering this question or how to do this question.

Please round to two decimal places:
45.51 mL of anunknown [HCl] solution was titrated to a phenolphthalein endpoint using 36.25 mL of a 0.654 M NaOH solution. What is [HCl]?

Hi Sabrina,

Ca x Va = Cb x Vb

HCl is a strong acid . . .

. . . then : [H3O(+)] = Ca

Ca x Va = Cb x Vb

. . . therefore :

Ca = Cb x Vb / Va
Ca = 0,654 x 36,25 / 45,51
Ca = 0,52 mol/L

I hope to have answered your question.
