45.51 mL of anunknown [HCl] solution was titrated to a phenolphthalein endpoint using 36.25 mL of a 0.654 M NaOH solution. What is [HCl]?

    Hi Sabrina,

    Ca x Va = Cb x Vb

    HCl is a strong acid . . .

    . . . then : [H3O(+)] = Ca

    Ca x Va = Cb x Vb

    . . . therefore :

    Ca = Cb x Vb / Va

    Ca = 0,654 x 36,25 / 45,51

    Ca = 0,52 mol/L
