I have used a pendulum bow sight since the late seventies. I love them for hunting out of tree stands. The selection is now down to almost nothing. I used the old Amacker Pendulum for 25 years, and they were discontinued. I then went to the Savage with the Tritium pin that glows in the dark, and they discontinued it. I am still using it, but will have to someday replace it since I cannot get parts for it,

I love a pendulum. Just aim dead on at your target from under your tree out to 35 yards, and some bows will be accurate out to 40 yards, aiming dead on, depending on the bows speed and arrow weight.

They are simple, and eliminate the guess work- is the deer 25 yards or 30 yards?

I have taken home 78 deer that were bow kills, and 75 of them were killed while I was using a pendulum. Unless you are the worlds greatest estimator of distance, the pendulum will have a much higher success rate then regular pin sights will have.

For if you misjudge the distance by as little as 4 yards, you may have a wounded deer to try and track down instead of a dead deer, if you are using pins alone.

Just research what is available and make your decision on which one to buy. My advice is to make sure it is available with a pin that will glow in low light conditions. Go with the pendulum and never look back....Show more

I have one, I never use the pendulum on it though, I think it is a lot easier just to shoot it in the locked position....Show more
