I have, it made things worse. To specify, have you ever fought for someone, what they used to be, held onto the idea that they're still that person and there's still a chance no matter what, against all rational thought?

i cant say i have fought for a person but i have fought for a relationship. one that over time had evolved into a unhealthy one. i fought so hard for things to go back to how they once were knowing full well it wasnt possible no matter what face you put on or effort you put in. those feeling are gone.
sometimes you can know someone too well. so much so that you come to reject them emotionally because its all too predictable.
