I think a teenagers biggest problem is their mindset, which comes from so many other things. We don't realize what is TRULY valuable until it's too late. I wish teenagers could realize how important education is and how sex can SERIOUSLY wait. I wish teens didn't have this distorted image of what beauty is. Roles in high school are reversed in reality. Cool kids are no longer cool, their low lives. "Nerds" are the coolest out there, that's all you guys should worry about. If you keep your head in your books, I guarantee you will suffer less than the next person. Don't worry about boyfriends and if you do get one, please remember it's just a boy-FRIEND. Sorry I'm rambling but i regret so many of my decisions. i urge teens to value their education and keep boys/friends at a distance. Humans have a thousand and one flaws. Don't dedicate your young/brand new lives to someone so soon. Don't become committed to someone if it involves you giving up your dreams.

I am quite a young teenager. I don't know what my mistakes are but I've noticed that people make up a new slang word every day. It's also annoying when they can't dress properly, For example putting a hat on the wrong way around or pulling the trousers 1/3 quarters down..

1. Having sex too early. I'd include teaching them what the legal age is in Sex Ed class (16-17 by state laws).
2. Drugs and alcohol. Teach them to stay away from them early as possible.
3. Thinking they know what love is. There's no good way to do this, but to talk it out with them as parents about what it really is and that any feeling they have early in life can't be real love.
4. Disrespect for parents. They think they are already old enough to take care of themselves and should be taught that their parents have the ultimate say-so over them and are responsible for them until they are 18.
