Being a mother to a teen, the answer would be having too much too soon and not learning the true value of hard work. everything in their lives are at their finger tips, if they could they wouldn't have to get up and do anything. The answer is very simple do less for them and let teach them to do the fishing.

as the saying goes. Give a man fish and he will eat for a day, teach him to fish and eats for a life time.

Our children have no aspirations to be better than their parents as we did simply because they have far too much. They have no idea how to live without technology it has always been there.

A lack of parental guidance and discipline from the time a baby is brought home from the hospital. The Bible teaches us to bring up a child in the ways of the Lord.

Eph. 6:1-4 Children, obey your parents IN THE LORD, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment WITH PROMISE: 3 “THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU AND YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH.

4 And you, FATHERS, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the 'training' (disciplinarian instruction) and 'admonition' (warning-put to mind) of the Lord.

If parents are not obeying the Lord themselves and allowing their children to rear themselves, then what can society expect?

I cannot 'fix' the problem ... only God can do that by first calling an individual and him/her accepting His Son as their Savior ... then God can work in that individuals heart and bring about a change.

Going from tutoring to being mature

In 1 Peter 2:2 Peter would chastened believers tor spiritually having the maturity of babies drinking milk, he admonished them to eat of the meat of the word

In Galations 3:24, Paul wrote, "So that the law is become our tutor to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith".

Law and structure are the tutor of young people, but if there is a rebellion or neglect for rules and structure; they just don't ever get to live maturely, be trusted, or walk in The Spirit.

So to, when we're adults, if we're treated with children's tutoring, well never rise above.

Man made rules applied to adults are control issues that some adults apply to other adults; to apply baseless children's rules to adults. Col. 2:20 20 If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, "Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!" (which all refer to things destined to perish with the using)-- in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men? These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence.

I think the biggest problem is the sexualization of our youth. People are so insecure, immature and fake these days

lack of truth. we're a pragmatic people. that is why there is so much division, so much contention, so much strife and struggle. and it is only getting worse.

  • The utter destruction of the American Family System and Healthy Boundaries combined with the staggering increase in Abuse in the family of origin, untreated addiction, and untreated mental illness.

And I only mean "HEALTHY Families", be it a mom and dad, two mom's, or two dad's... Just HEALTHY AND STABLE FAMILY SYSTEMS. These are concepts that got run over by the bullshit of the hippies that claimed that everything is cultural and not biologically based so they threw out any concept of stability or healthy intimacy.

We have this cultural distortion saying that every adult consciously chooses their actions and that their childhood development has absolutely nothing to do with the development of their brain biology and the HARDWARE that they use to make decisions... Abuse/ Trauma/ Victimization/ Chaos/ Neglect/ Abandonment/ Addict Parents/ Teen Parents/ Mentally Ill Parents/ Physical Abuse/ Emotional/Mental Abuse/ Sexual Abuse...

ALL of this changes not just your mental development but your physical development as well by altering the Epigenome... The increase in heart disease, diabetes, addiction, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and even obesity is increasing as rates of trauma increase...

What we reject is that when a damaged person has offspring, they perpetuate the generational transmission of trauma onto THEIR children...

Your parents/family of origin is your template for what you will seek out as an adult...

A survivor of Sexual Abuse becomes hardwired to be attracted to victimizers... If they aren't part of the 60% of sexual abuse survivors that end up acting out on children through either peer on peer sexual abuse or adult on child sexual abuse.

That's right... 60% of sexually abused children grow up to victimize others. Each child molester tends to abuse a dozen kids before they are caught and prosecuted. 7 out of that 12 will grow up to victimize another person.

All those female teachers that had sex with their students? Do a quick Doctor Drew on them and you'll find that they are molestation survivors.

Molestation Survivors, especially the females, magically end up being raped multiple times in their life or can see any sexual experience as rape.

It's believe that in the Kobe Bryant Case, the woman that said he raped her is a severe trauma survivor that got in to the room then froze and disassociated... It isn't that Kobe raped her as in she was screaming "NO! STOP!" and he brutally beat and raped her but that she made out with him and he had what he thought was conventual sex but her "Freeze Reaction" caused her to not fight back and was screaming "NO!" on the inside.

People that don't understand what trauma does to people in their sexual lives can easily have what they see as consensual sex that the woman will call rape and honestly believe that she was raped.

Even the increase in the Suicide Rate and Rape Rate in the US Armed Forces is explained by the staggering increase in abuse...

People that get horrific PTSD Reactions tend to be survivors of earlier trauma that "Primed The Pump" and resulted in current trauma re-evoking the feelings of the past.

I'm not saying that all people with PTSD were abused, traumatic events will of course cause PTSD, but the paralyzing PTSD that destroys a person to the point where they're killing themselves or can't function any more tend to be people that have a history of trauma.

Women in the Sex Industry tend to be Trauma Survivors as well because Trauma becomes hardwired in the brain as Attraction as adults.

    Yesterday's teen mom's are tomorrows 30 year old Grandma's...

Yesterday's molested mom is tomorrows mom that becomes attracted to victimizers that will have at her kids the same way her uncle or neighbor or dad or grandpa had at her...

Yesterday's molested son is tomorrows sexual predator...

Yesterday's molested 5 year old is tomorrow's 13 year old acting out sexually by seeking out 22 year olds to bang...

Put a trauma survivor in a room with 999 healthy people and 1 victimizer/addict and they will see the 999 as boring and make a bee-line right to the victimizer or addict, even if their addict biology hasn't been triggered yet.

THIS is what is the worst part of our culture in terms of what todays children must cope with.
