  • I have a Question for Atheists to you believe?

Do you believe that if a wrong is done to you or by you to another, for example completely destroying a persons life, that neither they nor you will have to atone for the wrong doing if never caught. Even though you or that person has lied, cheated and stolen to the point of taking everything from the other person or yourself. And yes I know that many people religious or otherwise do this kind of thing. i am specifically trying to work out thought processes of people and their way of thinking? i know what makes a Christian, Jew and Muslim tick. I am however unsure of other groups.

  • Very Worried about a dog around my children.?

Last night my mothers cross breed attacked our 13 year old Duksie, he broke her ribs, punctured her lung and put a couple of holes in her. She cannot be stiched up because they wont put her under because of her age. He already chases the cats but i am worried that if he has already drawn blood from one of the girls he will turn on one of my children or even my mother for a matter of fact. I am terrified to have him any where near my youngest who is only 3 month old. My eldest 2 are 15 and 13 but thats beside the point. Am I worring needlessly or do I have good reason to be worried. To me he seems to be getting more agressive since the day they tried to break in and sprayed stuff in his eyes.

  • What does Hope mean to you?

I am curious as to what hope means to each person. Actually more to the Atheists, do you believe in hope and how it helps. Its not something that can be proven or can you? None of the five senses can be used so if you believe in hope how do you justify its existance?

  • Just curious, If you are for or against abortion, what is your stance on Euthenasia?

I have heard all the arguements for and against abortion, both the religious and the Athiests point of views. Plenty of really stupid ones. Still waiting for a logical one that doesn't involve stupid comments. But I would actually like to know more a reasonable and logical reason for or against Euthenasia and whether its moral or not?

  • Why do people go on and on about revelations?

I can't understand why people have this thing about revelations. I think it's the worst book in the bible, I sometimes think that the person who wrote the thing was nuts and the people who interpret it verbatim are worse. Who is to say that it's not a false book and it's pages are a test in sanity. What is it with Protesants and New agers and this book? The Orthodox Churches and Catholics don't preach from this book so why does the rest take it as gospel. The last time looked it isn't a gospel book so why even use it?

  • How do people feel about schools in the UK having to start teaching paganism during RE?

Yesterday I read in the mail that parts of the UK, had to start teaching paganism during RE, at school to give the pagan children a fair deal. Personally I think it's a good thing for all the kids because it opens the mind and a little knowledge goes a long way to a informed dission.

  • What happens to the energy when we die?

If the Athiests are to be believed and when we die nothing happens I would like to know what happens to the energy that created us as in the creation of the world. Energy does not die nor can it be destroyed it can only be diverted. So when we die what happens to it?

  • Tell me exactly what wrong with having magic in our lives?

The word magic brings up all kinds of connotations for people, I would like to know exactly what makes some groups so fanatically obsessed with the word that they won't allow even the mere mention of the word. How do they go through life disallowing their children from even listening to a simple fairy tale. how can people be so blind to the magic of life itself. i personally don't see magic as a thing but as an old way of explaining things during a time when people didn't know better. I just can't get over a mother freaking out because you have told her daughter to use the magic word and say please and thank you. Are people really so blind and small minded. They hate Catholic, They hate Anglican they certainly hate Jews and hate Muslims and then turn to the world and say that they have the prefect marriage (never mind that hubby darling cheated on them) And that they do not have to be tolerant of anyone but everyone must "MUST" accept their choices. Exactly what are they thinking?

  • Are people asking Questions because...?

Just to hear what they want to hear or are they asking questions to learn more about others and their belief systems. More and more I see thumbs down on any person who doesn't agree with the asker I find that in the Questions relating to JW's and Mormons this occurs the most especially if it against their belief or If a Catholic has answered in accordance with their beliefs and it doesn't agree with the question which is against? Which is fine except when the person has answered in a relatively decent and rational way. Really is this the way people are going now completely closed minded Don't people want to learn anything any more. What happened to rational logical thought? Atheists are just as bad as the Theists

  • How do you deal with the death of a loved one?

If you don't believe in Life after death or in God, how do you deal with the death of a loved one? Its hard enough with a belief of something else after this world. I know how difficult it is get your head around the death especially if the person died young and even after a long time it is still something that is very hard to accept religion or no religion. So my question is how do you as an Atheist, Jew, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist and so forth deal with the acceptance of death and the crippling pain that has to endured?

  • How much has change over the centuries between the original African Belief system and that of .....?

of the African American belief system

I live in South Africa and have always known that the African's belief in Christianity and that of their ancestors are very closely linked. What I want to know is just how much of the belief is still accepted in the African American community or how far have they moved from it to embrace the Western traditions.

  • How to explain belief systems to a child?

My daughter is 12 and at the right age for me to explain the different belief systems to her so that she will have the tools to make the correct choice for herself when the time comes. So without getting nasty and calling each religion nasty names. Tell me how you would describe and explain your beliefs and choice in Spirituality to a 12 year. Imagine if you will you are now talking to your own child. Please for those of you without kids, they are a lot smarter than you can possibly imagine and read very well between the lines.
