Oka. Im not sure what it means to rev an engine. But my bf said he wont let me drive becuz i rev the engine. My mom said i dont. But he said it wastes his gas. Whats it mean to rev an engine and can u do it not know?

When you drive does the car make sounds like in movies? You know like, vrooooooom? I think that's it. You probably take off to fast when you drive.

Reving the engine means when you sitting somewhere like at a stop light you sit there with your fiot on the gas pedal pushing it down make the engine burn more gas so if your foot isnt pushing on the gas when your just sitting somewhere with the engine going then you are not "reving the engine"
