A friend bought me something on Amazon so I cant track in on my account but he gave me the tracking number. Where would I be able to use the tracking number? The item ships from and is sold by Amazon.com.
Heres the link to the item in case i missed something: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0006HX1GC/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?ei=bNF9T4eWNOTi2AXCsbX3DA&sa=X&ved=0CFoQgwgwAA

In my experience with amazon, this number has done nothing for me. It's probably shipping USPS so you could try tracking it there, but I don't think I ever had any luck using that number there.
Type the tracking number directly into Google search engine It will automatically tell you which service is used to send it [USPS \ Blue Dart Etc] Click on the link of the corresponding site.
Or if you already know the shipper type [Shipper] Website Go to tracking number type in tracking number
For example for USPS it would be https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction!input.action
The tracking number is your shipment. It tracks what you ordered. How much it cost, where it is in the shipment stage, (ie. is it being delivered). How long the delivery will take, and where the delivery is supposed to end up. Most places allow you to track where your shipment is by allowing users to click on the tracking number. It is also used in case something happens to the shipment.
