Do you think it is possible to take $1,000 and turn it into $100,000 betting on sports?

I created a blog keeping track of my picks to see if I can do this. I bet around 5% of my total bank roll so as my bank roll increases, so does my bets. I usually find myself around 60%, I've been pretty consistent with that at times as high as 70%, but long term more like 60%. I currently turned $1,000 into about $22,000. Most people can't turn $500 to $50,000 in a year, legally. Remember, there is NO easy money in this life. Building wealth takes time, smarts and sometimes luck. I would recommend finding other investors you can pool your money with. Buy a piece of distressed real estate. The catch is you must buy it for for a "steal of a deal." Fix up the property and rent it a few YEARS until the market gets better and then sell it. Split the profits with your investors.

It's possible. 1000$ x 100 = 100000$. I once made x 500 in 3 months of every day gambling. I had much luck, spent whole days analyzing games. So, it's possible, but highly unlikely, especially in a short period of time like my lucky series last year.

pdq is just butthurt, I bet he gambled his house and car and lost.
