Hi, even in case you will enter Vietnam by land, you still can apply for Vietnam visa online. You can apply online for Vietnam visa code by following the guidance as http://www.visaforvietnam.org/vietnam-visa-approval-code.html and then go to Vietnam embassy in HongKong with a hard copy of Vietnam visa code to stamp official visa Vietnam. You can search for address of Vietnam embassy in HongKong on the internet. Applying online for visa code before visiting embassy will help you to save a lot of time and even money.
