It would help if you could tell us more about him than just "a guy on Twitter", but this is what I get so far:
It's implied that he's happy (or simply aware) that he's done something to deserve your notice as a dating columnist. Like you're planning to write about him or you want to hear what he has to say, even though you're an expert.
Or it could just be that you're pretty well-known in whatever circle you are part of.
E.g. pretend I just won a Nobel Prize and the President started following me. If I respond with a similar tweet, it would mean that I'm stoked that I managed to get the President's attention.
