So.......I'm probably going to a BEAR HUNT in Canada. I have a couple questions.......
1. Well.......How sparse, or thriving, are the black bears in Canada? 2. Can I expect to get some fishing in? 3. What are the odds of a plane crash? 4. How likely is it that the weather will turn against us? (Going with father and sister) 5. Has anyone been? How was it? 6. How nippy is it in the summer? No quotes from weather sites. Like, do you know what I should pack? 7. Any advice?
Thank you!

1) There are quite a few black bears in Canada. Most hunts are on Indian land, so are bowhunting only. 2) Yes, lots of natural rock bottom lakes. Mainly Northern Pike ( Canadians call them Pickerel), Large and Small Mouth Bass. AND the occasional Muskie. Last time I was there I saw a Muskie try to eat a 3 1/2' Otter. That was at least 6" of Muskie. 3) very low I am a pilot myself. If so it will only happen once. 4) Always weather this time of year rain. 5) Done it allot with a rifle. I do not really care to kill another bear. But I enjoy going and to see them. 6) Can get to sweatshirt and jacket weather this time of year.
7) BLACK FLIES - will drive you nuts. I mean literally. Be sure to get a Bug screen hood for your head. wear gloves. Cover all skin then you only have to deal with the constant buzzing in your ears.
If you chose not to hunt but want to go take your camera and just shoot pictures. This could be a once in a lifetime trip. And in years to come you will enjoy them.
edit: Don't miss this opportunity it will be great. A story to tell for the rest of your life.
