Does Youtube partnership with banners exist anymore?
I know everyone and their mama can sign up for monetization. I'm well aware of that since I am part of that program.
However, i've heard that unless you're part of the "old crop" of partners, that banners and other perks will not be given for true partnership once applied. I have not applied but in the near future, I will.
Does this mean partners (not monetization program) still get other perks such as higher resolution videos and priority when people search? Or does that no longer apply and it's just 1 level of partnership? Any input would be great. Thanks.

You are right...They stopped giving out the banners and cool channel designs after they merged the Monetization and (old) Partner Program into the new "Partner Program". So you ARE a full Partner...but because you applied after the merger, you don't get the special channels. They stopped giving them out after the merger, and anyone who was in the program before the merger just gets to keep them for the time being (I actually know of a few friends in the old Program who have lost their banners, while others still have them).
Supposedly YouTube will soon open the cool channels up to all Partners...Or they may just get rid of them altogether. We'll see!
purely companions basically before april 2012 could have banners on the 2nd, or people partnered with particular networks. New companions dont have banners with the aid of fact anybody would properly be an substantial different now, there must be some distinction between previous companions and new companions, with the aid of fact previous companions had to have 1000's of perspectives according to video and 1000's of subscribers. Now those with like 5 subscribers and one hundred video perspectives have become companions.
Yes. It does still exist. It is only harder to get partenership now due to the influx of people wanting to live out their dreams and live off of youtube like RWJ, Whiteboy7thst, WoodysGamertag, ect..
